Jane Ardrey
About: Jane is based at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and is the Programme Manager for the Biomass Reduction and Environmental Air Towards Health Effects (BREATHE-Africa) partnership. This initiative (funded by the Medical Research Council UK) will draw together experts and investigators in household air pollution (HAP) trials, maximize the opportunities from ongoing HAP trials and engage African researchers in mentored research training and projects. She is also studying for a part-time PhD with the aim of gaining further understanding about the societal and cultural factors that influence adoption of the Cooking and Pneumonia Study (CAPS) advanced cookstove intervention in rural Malawi and how this can inform the future scale up of clean cooking technology.
